Service Quality Management(SQM) Policy
1. Purpose
The purpose of this Supplier Quality Management (SQM) Policy is to ensure that all materials, components, and services procured from suppliers meet the required standards of quality, safety, compliance, and performance, and support our commitment to manufacturing high-quality water purification and treatment systems
2. Scope
This policy applies to all suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers associated with Water Point Pvt Ltd, directly or indirectly supporting the production of
- Industrial RO Plants
- DM Plants
- DEF Water Systems
- Drinking Water Plants
- Water Softener Units
3. Supplier Requirements
All suppliers must
- Be approved by the Water Pint Pvt Ltd procurement team.
- Comply with relevant legal, environmental, ISO, BIS, and industry-specific standards.
- Provide valid certification of conformity (where applicable).
- Maintain consistent delivery of high-quality goods and services
- Support traceability and documentation requirements
4. Evaluation & Selection
Suppliers are selected and evaluated based on:
- Quality system certifications (e.g., ISO 9001)
- Product quality history
- Cost competitiveness
- Delivery performance
- Technical capabilities
- Responsiveness and support
5. Monitoring & Performance Review
Supplier performance is reviewed on the basis of:
- Quality of received goods/services
- Delivery time adherence
- Rejection rate and non-conformance reports (NCRs)
- Corrective & preventive action (CAPA) responsiveness
- Communication and service support
Annual or bi-annual supplier audits may be conducted to ensure continuous compliance.
6. Non-Conformance Handling
In case of quality issues:
- Non-conforming materials will be documented and rejected
- Supplier will be notified with a detailed NCR report
- Supplier must provide a Corrective and Preventive Action Plan within 7 working days.
- Repeated quality failures may lead to suspension or delisting
7. Continuous Improvement
We encourage all suppliers to:
- Invest in quality assurance and testing capabilities.
- Regularly review their internal processes.
- Collaborate on technical improvements and cost reduction ideas
- Train their teams in quality awareness and defect prevention
8. Code of Conduct
Suppliers are expected to adhere to ethical business practices and maintain transparency, including:
- No use of child or forced labor
- Safe and hygienic working conditions
